To compete with the likes of DriveNow and ZipCar, Iris partnered with Hertz to launch its own app-based, self-service rental – FastTrack. It will allow customers to skip the queues and counters, and go straight to their car and drive away.
Working with 3rd party agencies who defined the UX, my task was to set a design direction for the app.
I designed screens for key stages in the journey. One of these stages was facial verification, which allows the app to verify your identity before getting in the vehicle.
Micro-interactions were defined to not only delight users along the way, but to help visualise key interactions that the user has with the app such as unlocking the vehicle.
