Together with the brilliant folks at The Team, we helped translate the new NS&I branding into the digital space. This included defining a digital colour palette, typographic hierarchy, and bringing the brand personality to life. In addition, I helped to conceptualise the refresh of their banking platform.

NS&I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to save confidently. Their branding, from the tone of voice through to colour palette is around accessibility, inclusivity and simplicity. Therefore, our work needed to reflect these attributes.

One of NS&I’s values is “human”. By this, they mean being personal and down-to-earth. By adding conversational elements and allowing users to customise their experience, we were able to deliver this brand value and make users first interaction with the brand much more personal. 

Once users are onboarded and into the core of the app, we wanted to maintain the brand principles. By combining bright, contemporary shades and tones we were able to keep the app feeling fresh and clean, while still displaying very transactional and data-driven content in a simple and user friendly way.
